I have written two successful grants in the last two years so I thought I'd share all the "how to" resources I found.

One of the grants I wrote was for a classroom lending library. Here is a pamphlet I wrote for my parents full of emergent reading strategies.

Places to start that aren't on the web.. Start with local stores (Walmart, Target, Mervyns and   (Chevron/Texaco) a few other give out local grants in small amounts. (under $1000.) You have to go into your store and speak with the manager). Talk to the parents of your students. They might work for a big business that gives grants that make connections to themselves.
