As
a firm believer in the power of Self Selected Reading, you can see three of my students
really absorbed in their books. |

| I have a set of
fraternal twins in my class this year (I had them as kinders,too!) They don't often work
together on projects, but this particular day both were selected for computer time. They
were working in KID PIX and discovered they could create some neat graphics.... So they
shared... |

| Dominoes is a
favorite game in my room. Every afternoon during math exploration, students choose from
many activities that extend their concepts of math. |

| My students often
have a chance to read with a partner. They go over text they have read before to increase
fluency. These two fellows were working together for the first time. It's often a
chance to make new friends as well as share your reading skills. |
