Colorful Spring

We were very excited to participate in another collaborative project. Our goal was to express ourselves through poetry.

We would be using poetic expression  to tell about the sights and sounds and colors of Spring.

We learned about the
Five Senses Poetry format.

   I see .........
  I hear......
  I smell......
  I taste.....
I feel.....

I know...

Then, we read books
about the colors of spring

(particularily in our community)

We had the opportunity to use watercolors to create landscapes that include spring flowers.

Roses of white, purple and red

The sweet smell of the flower

Singing of happy birds

Silky soft petals

Sweet nectar of the yellow flower

I love the smell of roses.

Together we wrote a collaborative poem about roses.

We wrote individual poems about the colors we see in springtime. A few of us even had time to type them up and print them out!
