All About Bats

Every fall I enjoy teaching my students about bats. Last year in kindergarten we focused on the book: Stellaluna by Jannell Cannon. This year (we are in first grade now) we will learn more about bats, their habitats, what they eat, how they fly and more. We will write about bats, all on our own, and publish our stories on the classroom wall for everyone to see.

We will read other books about bats and share what we learn with you. I have even made a "flannel board" story on bats that will be added to our library "retelling" center.
